Greetings!
This is the inaugural post for what we assume will become a long-standing and ridiculously popular blog for tabletop gaming enthusiasts in the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan Area – and beyond!
Tabletop Game & Hobby and Cardboard Corner are partnering on this platform to provide you informative, engaging, and interesting content about all aspects of tabletop gaming.

Our goal is to enrich and connect our community by shining a spotlight on all the amazing things we gamers do, make, and love.
What kinds of things will the blog talk about?
Well, first, naturally we’ll be talking about games – lots and lots of games:
–RPGs, including D&D, Shadowrun, Pathfinder, Star Trek Adventures, Star Wars Roleplaying, and Tales from the Loop.
–Tabletop combat games, such as Warhammer Fantasy, Warhammer 40K, Warmachine / Hordes, Flames of War, and Age of Sigmar.
–Board games – FAR too many publishers, genres, and styles to mention here – but your favorites are probably on the list!
–Card games – collectible (Magic: The Gathering), non-collectible (e.g. KeyForge), and games where cards are the mechanic (Fluxx, Dominion, and Love Letter).
—And much more!
We’ll also talk about game-adjacent hobbies and products – such as terrain building, miniature painting, card sleeves, dice, and even genre fiction.
Finally, we’ll talk about our community – personalities (Toebias), product releases (when is the new thing I desperately need coming out?!?), events (Free RPG Day), conventions (KantCon, Recruits, and Midwest GameFest), and our own popular classes (Painting with Brian and GM Boot Camp).

That sounds like a lot – but there’s one thing missing…
You.
What makes the gaming community great is how many amazing, talented, and passionate people we have! We want to take advantage of that.
First, if you have subjects you’d like to see us cover, drop us an email at madeline@tabletopgameandhobby.com. We would love to hear your requests and suggestions.
Second, if you have an article you’d like to write or submit (such as a convention report, game review, or editorial piece about some aspect of gaming) or a story you’d like to share, reach out to us (at the email address above) and let us know. We’ll have submission guidelines up soon – but we still want to hear from you now!
