The best way to end this fantastic year of this fantastic game and the amazing community around it is to have a big tournament. This will be the standard 40-point 2 list format and will be ran on asoiaf-stats.com. The knights will battle their way to the top, only one can be Cardboard Corner Cafe’s 2023 CHAMPION! We will be using the most current rules of the game as they appear on the War Council app at the time of the event. This will be a 3 round event which means there is a possibility for two undefeated players at the end of the 3 rounds. So those secondary points will come into play to determine who is the Champion. There may be a possibility for a 4th round to determine an undisputed champion. The store opens at 11 and I would love to have the pairing set for the first round by 11:45 and the first round rolling dice at Noon, so please be prompt or let me know in the discord (Redcap32) of any delays.

The Game Modes will be randomly chosen at the event, all 9 tournament game modes from the Game Modes Document are possible. Round will be 90 minutes with a 15-minute set up time. Round 1 is from 12-1:30 there will be 30 minutes for a snack or lunch, then set up time for Round 2 is at 2:00, with the round running from 2:15-3:45, and round 3 will be 4-5:30 followed by awards Ceremony. Do not start any round if there is less than 15 minutes remaining in the round.

Prizes, there will be a prize for the Champion, there will also be a prize for the best painted army. Other prizes will be given to the best Summer Knight (a player whose ELO is below 1600 when beginning the event), the best General (the player whose ELO improved the most during the event), and random prizes.

This is to be a fun event and the end of our year and season with ASOIAF.
