The Peak is a lonely resupply point on the way out of the Kaneda Sub-sector captured by Traitors during the Ruinstorm. Control over this point prevents supply convoys moving through Segmentum Tempestus coreward towards Terra. Important at a local level, a small Loyalist fleet was sent to cut the traitor garrison off from resupply and crush it.

This is a Narrative (not competitive) event for 1,750 point Horus Heresy armies. Player matchups will be determined based on tournament and objective points, but there will be no prizes for the first place or second place finishers. Prizes will be based on random draws.

Players will pledge for the Loyalist or Traitor cause, and their games will build points to determine the outcome of the Assault on the Peak. There will be 3 rounds over the course of 1 day, starting at 10:30a.

Expectation will be fun, narrative games!

Only units from the Horus Heresy Liber books, Legacies pdfs, and Exemplary Battles are allowed. Unpublished “experimental rules” for new models on Forge World’s website, or fan-based rules such as Panoptica are not allowed. No Allies, No Primarchs, No Lords of War.

Player Level: Beginner

Player Pre-Requirements: Beautifully painted armies are an important component of our hobby, but are not required for this event. Armies must be composed of Horus Heresy era models (e.g., Mark II-VI Power Armor variations) and/or appropriate conversions. Event organizers will be reasonable about interpreting this rule but do not show up with a standard Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine army and expect to play.
