What is Fading Suns

Fading Suns is an intergalactic Role-Playing Game combining elements of such renown stories as Dune and The Call of Cthulhu.

Long ago, humanity spread out among the stars, establishing a massive Republic which collapsed due to its own hubris and the madness of the Dark Between the Stars. In the wake of the collapse, a new Dark Age swept over the worlds connected by the Jumpweb leading to rebellion and destruction. Now, in the sixth millennium, the remnants of the cultured worlds led by Noble Houses, the Guilds and the Church of the Celestial Sun have emerged from the turmoil, seeking to re-establish humanity’s hold on civilization even as the dimming stars foster dread in the hearts of many.

Adventure Background

House Li Halan has long governed the Protectorate of the Ungavorox System and fostered the nearly feral and alien Vorox tribes. A generation ago, in the aftermath of the Emperor Wars, domed mining installations were reclaimed on a moon orbiting the remote, ringed gas giant of Jur-Zamish. Recently, production quotas for the raw ores the mines produce have fallen short and the Seneschal of the mines has reportedly placed blame on malcontent factions of Voroxian miners. House Li Halan has deployed a noble courtier, Kiaraa Seung Li Halan and her entourage to investigate the matter. Their shuttle has departed the jungle cities of Ungavorox bound for the mines of Dharangiri.

‘Whispers and Echoes’ is an introductory Fading Suns adventure written by M. L. Howard for five players.

No prior experience with Fading Suns RPG is required.

Pre- generated characters are provided.

Players should bring standard RPG dice and a pencil.

For ages 16 and up.
