You. Yes, you. Are you wanting to help out a group of Mid-Western Game Developers create amazing lore-filled, interactive, immersive board games with constantly updated art? Then come play with us!

We are Funcertainty Box LLC. We are a group of artists, former (and current) theatre kids, and game developers who are chasing their dreams of being board game publishers. And this event is how we make sure that the games we make are enjoyed by everyone who plays them.

For your playtesting enjoyment, we have the following games available to demo and test:

Miasmatic Mayhem – cooperative, light roleplay, strategy – 2 to 4 players – (~60-90 min) –  Save a dystopian version of Kansas City called Bartle Haven from destruction. Pick from twelve characters and explore face-down tiles to locate and dismantle four generators that are pulling a storm of Miasma to the city center.

Star Strategy – cooperative, space, strategy – 2 to 6 players – (~120 min) – Assemble a crew of unique ships to save the galaxy. Choose from 12 different ships. Choose a side: The Universal Usurpers or the Rebels. Complete missions for either side and try to deal with the random transmissions every turn. Oh did we mention the clock is ticking?

Getting the Grimoire – competitive, wizards, fast – 2 to 6 players – (~30-45 min) – Be the ultimate wizard as you race everyone at the table to complete your Grimoire. Armed with 7 spells and three types of Ether, your goal is to play the correct spells that match your hidden role to complete your grimoire before anyone else can. Can you bluff and spell-sling your way to the top?
