Monthly Paint Competition
May 14 @ 11:00 am - May 21 @ 11:30 pm
$10.00
Welcome to our friendly, neighborhood miniature paint competition! Join the community of painters with this fun event.
There are three different skill levels for May: Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced with 10 kits per skill level.
Your goal is to paint the model according to the provided theme and show off your creativity and painting skill! 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be determined based on a few specific categories and judged by our painting instructors.
How to Participate
- Sign up quickly! We only have 10 kits per skill level!
- You may only sign up for Novice OR Intermediate OR Advanced. You may not sign for multiple spots.
- Pick up your competition kit starting on Sunday, May 14th.
- Get to painting!
- Take some good pictures of your completed model. This might be the most important part! If the judges can’t see you’ve spent 6 hours on highlights, then it does no good! 4 pictures minimum: front, back, and both sides.
- Post those awesome pictures on our Discord NO LATER THAN Sunday, May 21st at 11:59pm.
Choosing a Skill Category
Be honest with yourself about your skill level! If you’re still not sure, challenge yourself with the harder one! If you’ve placed several times in one skill category, please move up a level for a challenge!
Model Guidelines
- Kits will include a model, a base, and a theme.
- Models must be presented on the base provided in the kit.
- Only “typical” basing materials are permitted (e.g. flocking, sand, etc.) (e.g.g. no dioramas)
- Models may be altered but must resemble the original after modification.
